Frontier Strategy And Archive Decision

This page records the current frontier posture after H6P1.

The short version:

The Pulse Model is a conservative reformulation and diagnostic framework. It is not currently on an internal live path to new GR/QM unification.

H6P1 was the strongest internal attempt to make a Pulse-native source-response principle appear. It used closed pulse and phase record consistency rather than arbitrary branch labels, ordinary stochastic noise, or generic quantum mediator language. It still ended as a diagnostic tool.

Current Position

The project should now be presented as:

  • a structured recovery of known clock, phase, gravity, and stress-energy physics
  • a set of executable diagnostic tools for pulse records, curvature, phase response, quantum clocks, source-response candidates, and vacuum bookkeeping
  • a documented map of why the attempted H6 source-response routes fail to become new physics

It should not be presented as:

  • a completed quantum-gravity theory
  • a derivation of Einstein's equation from pulse counts alone
  • an active internal route to unification
  • a source of new predictions
  • a license to promote branch labels, stochastic variance, mediator records, or closure defects beyond their ledgers

Closed H6 Route Summary

RouteResultUse
H6S1 weak-field source-response discriminatorDiagnostic toolCompare expectation, branch, collapse/decoherence, and pulse-native response families without claiming a law.
H6S2 ensemble-invariant causal responseDiagnostic tool plus clean no-goReject response rules that depend on arbitrary ensemble decompositions of the same local density operator.
H6S3 no-free-branch-variance theoremDiagnostic tool plus clean no-goForce physical branch variance to come from records, stochastic geometry, or a non-classical mediator sector.
H6S4-C stochastic classical pulse geometryDiagnostic toolPreserve the finite excess-variance comparator without treating it as a conserved stochastic source law.
H6S4-Q quantum pulse mediatorConditional derivationPreserve the finite mediator record contract as known quantum-mediator structure in Pulse Model language.
H6P1 pulse closure responseDiagnostic toolPreserve gauge-invariant closed-loop defect machinery without treating its response gradient as a source law.

The attempted internal routes therefore leave the same blocker:

No conserved, coefficient-fixed, baseline-distinct source-response law has been produced.

Final H6 Gate

H6P1 supplied the cleanest Pulse-native diagnostic object:

ΔL=esLeθe\Delta_L = \sum_e s_{Le}\theta_e

and the intrinsic covariance functional:

I[g,ρ,R]=12LLΔLCLL1ΔLI[g,\rho,R] = \frac{1}{2}\sum_{LL'}\Delta_L C^{-1}_{LL'}\Delta_{L'}

The finite response analogue:

Ja=dIdgaJ_a = -\hbar\frac{dI}{dg_a}

is executable and useful as a diagnostic. It is not a stress-energy tensor, not a conserved source law, and not a new gravitational equation.

That is enough to close the current internal H6 novelty search.

Reopen Criteria

Do not open H6S5 as another novelty branch. If a future H6S5 page exists, it should be a final observable kill-gate summary, not a new research path.

The new-physics pursuit should be reopened only if a genuinely new external principle supplies all of the following before comparison with external data:

  • a gauge-invariant source-response functional or law
  • a conservation proof or explicit mediator/environment balance ledger
  • coefficient provenance fixed by derivation, known limit, or calibration before the target test
  • ensemble-decomposition invariance unless physical records select the decomposition
  • ordinary-noise, decoherence, postselection, and instrument artifacts separated from intrinsic response
  • a fixed observable distinct from density-only semiclassical response, stochastic semiclassical gravity, pointer/decoherence bookkeeping, ordinary noise, and standard quantum mediator models

Without those items, future work can still be useful, but it should be classified as known-physics reformulation, diagnostic tool, conditional derivation, or clean no-go.

Work To Avoid

The project is most presentable if it avoids opening speculative branches that the existing work has already shown how to downgrade.

Avoid:

  • more H6 guardrail pages that do not propose a conserved law
  • H6S5/H6S6/H6S7 as a planned novelty sequence
  • treating H6S4-C variance as new stochastic gravity
  • treating H6S4-Q mediator bookkeeping as a Pulse Model quantum metric law
  • treating H6P1 closure defects as a source-response law
  • importing external bounds before the model has fixed coefficients
  • more vacuum or finite-loop speculation without a conserved response functional

Archive the Pulse Model as a strong example research project:

  1. Start from conservative known-physics recovery.
  2. State every speculative gate explicitly.
  3. Build finite executable diagnostics where possible.
  4. Compare candidates against standard baselines before making novelty claims.
  5. Keep failed routes as useful constraints rather than hiding them.

That is the durable value of the project in its current form.
